Bump?

I couldn't really find a thread devoted to TF2 So I made one.   Personally, it's my favorite FPS at the moment, and I've been enjoying it more than others *cough* Brokenfield 4 *cough*   So to start, why do you like/dislike Team Fortress 2?

  I don't really care for the measurements too much, but I imagine it wouldn't be noticeable. I just prefer the HD600 for those genres (and overall)

I prefer the HD600's out of that particular group (I know my sig says 558, but I've heard the 600)    The 558's are a great choice, but I don't quite think they will be an upgrade, more like a sidegrade   HD600 > HD650 for me personally, just prefer the more neutral sound that the HD600 has...

  But SR80i's suck for gaming.   OP, pick up the 518's they'll sound fine for rock music.

Has anyone tried the Mad Dogs with the Schiit Magni?

I'm looking to upgrade my Schiit Magni to power the 3.2 Mad Dogs that I plan to get. There has been mixed reception over the combination, some saying it's great, others think it is lacking. I have a Modi DAC, and I don't think it needs upgrading.    Budget is no more than $200. Still not sure...

Basically it's good for all genres (or just the ones you listen to) But It's not the best out there for particular genres.   Senn 558's nail it pretty well in my mind, but upgrading soon.

So I've owned my Magni and Modi combo for about a month now, and I have to say that I just adore it. Really looking to get some higher impedance cans to try with this combo, maybe the HD650's.

I would maybe try these, but I just can't stand that awful headband design. Tried the AD900x and hated it. They are absolutley gorgeous cans though.

  Good to hear! That means I don't have to get more expensive equipment.    Gonna start saving now.

How would a Magni and Modi work with these cans? I really love Sennheiser and I'm interested in taking the step up.

    If you need replacement earpads, or just better ones, I believe the Shure 840 velour pads fit the M50. I just love velour, and from what most have said, they really improve the comfort of the M50's

558 would probably sound the best. Don't really listen to "J" genres but if they are sort of similar to there counterparts then the 558 should provide a nice sound.

You don't NEED an amp, but it's highly reccomended. You can just plug them into the back or front port of your computer.   Now, for a cheap Amp/DAC that should be able to power the DT770, the E10 is a good choice.   Only $75 and provides some pretty good sound, a noticable improvement over...

My only issue with Phillips is the non user replaceable pads and the (sorta) small 1 year warranty. But that was with the L1   Interested in trying these, I really liked both the L1 and X1 when i was able to audition them.
