The Official Team Fortress 2 Thread

I couldn't really find a thread devoted to TF2 So I made one.   Personally, it's my favorite FPS at the moment, and I've been enjoying it more than others *cough* Brokenfield 4 *cough*   So to start, why do you like/dislike Team Fortress 2?

Upgrade Headphones from ATH M50.. Help with your recommendations

I don't really care for the measurements too much, but I imagine it wouldn't be noticeable. I just prefer the HD600 for those genres (and overall)

Upgrade Headphones from ATH M50.. Help with your recommendations

I prefer the HD600's out of that particular group (I know my sig says 558, but I've heard the 600)    The 558's are a great choice, but I don't quite think they will be an upgrade, more like a sidegrade   HD600 > HD650 for me personally, just prefer the more neutral sound that the HD600 has...

Looking for OPEN eared headphones for Music + Gaming for around 100 USD

But SR80i's suck for gaming.   OP, pick up the 518's they'll sound fine for rock music.

Has anyone tried the Mad Dogs with the Schiit Magni?

    Upgrade from Schiit Magni?

I'm looking to upgrade my Schiit Magni to power the 3.2 Mad Dogs that I plan to get. There has been mixed reception over the combination, some saying it's great, others think it is lacking. I have a Modi DAC, and I don't think it needs upgrading.    Budget is no more than $200. Still not sure...

What is your favorite "Jack of All Trades" headphones?

Basically it's good for all genres (or just the ones you listen to) But It's not the best out there for particular genres.   Senn 558's nail it pretty well in my mind, but upgrading soon.

    Schiit Owners Unite

So I've owned my Magni and Modi combo for about a month now, and I have to say that I just adore it. Really looking to get some higher impedance cans to try with this combo, maybe the HD650's.

    ATH-W1000X Thread!

I would maybe try these, but I just can't stand that awful headband design. Tried the AD900x and hated it. They are absolutley gorgeous cans though.

Good to hear! That means I don't have to get more expensive equipment.    Gonna start saving now.

    Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread

How would a Magni and Modi work with these cans? I really love Sennheiser and I'm interested in taking the step up.

Are the Denon AH-D600 worth $270?

I saw these on Amazon, and I had heard some good things about Denon headphones. How are these for their price?   http://www.amazon.com/Denon-AH-D600-Maniac-Over-Ear-Headphones/dp/B00858I4F2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1391808365&sr=8-2&keywords=denon+d7100

Would the Mr. Speaker Mad Dogs pair well with a Schiit Magni/Modi?

Interested in upgrading my headphones, the HD 558's, and I'm interested in finding a replacement. Genres that I typically listen to are Rap/Hip Hop, rock, pop, and I do heavy gaming. Comfort is somewhat of a nessecity.   Anyway, I have the Schiit Magni and Modi and I'm wondering if the combo...

Need help choosing 100~150USD over-ear headphones good for J-Pop/Rock (ie Supercell).

No problem, enjoy the cans! The audiophile hobby is a fun one, but expensive.

Need help choosing 100~150USD over-ear headphones good for J-Pop/Rock (ie Supercell).

I think the Grado SR80i only really fills a niche for some people, i just despise the comfort, but the sound is alright. The higher end stuff is alot better (225i, 325i, etc.)   I think you should get the A700x if you can get it under $100, that would be your best choice. Although I must...

Recommendations for open headphones less than $200

Came to sing the praises of the 558's real quick.    I'm planning on upgrading to the DT880, but let me tell you, Sennheiser 558's are insanely good for their asking price. Great soundstage, enough bass (not a basshead, but I do like to have some) and the comfort is phenomenal. I love the...

Need help choosing 100~150USD over-ear headphones good for J-Pop/Rock (ie Supercell).

If you want a large soundstage, but less noise leakage, the A700 is a good choice. It has a pretty great soundstage for a closed can, but i hate the headband. Comfy, but the wing thing is so irritating.   Not the biggest fan of Audio Technica, but the A700/A900 have some good reviews for...

Has anyone tried the new M50x?

If you need replacement earpads, or just better ones, I believe the Shure 840 velour pads fit the M50. I just love velour, and from what most have said, they really improve the comfort of the M50's

Need help choosing 100~150USD over-ear headphones good for J-Pop/Rock (ie Supercell).

558 would probably sound the best. Don't really listen to "J" genres but if they are sort of similar to there counterparts then the 558 should provide a nice sound.

    DT770 Pro 350 ohms on Realtek ALC889

You don't NEED an amp, but it's highly reccomended. You can just plug them into the back or front port of your computer.   Now, for a cheap Amp/DAC that should be able to power the DT770, the E10 is a good choice.   Only $75 and provides some pretty good sound, a noticable improvement over...

    Philips Fidelio L2

My only issue with Phillips is the non user replaceable pads and the (sorta) small 1 year warranty. But that was with the L1   Interested in trying these, I really liked both the L1 and X1 when i was able to audition them.
