K5 has both amp/dac?

how do these power the HD 650? also, people say that these sound bright and harsh with the HD 650. pairing the HD 650s with the fulla would lose that unqiue euphony?

well, i had previously posted that the HD 598s sound boomy.  That is not that case anymore. The bass has almost settled, so is the harsh treble. treble sounds soft, but has a bright coating to it. Cymbals sound a bit unnatural and dry coz of that. do you guys hear the same? or it still needs...

Sorry for reviving this old post, i hear the same crispy sound on high notes. They sound harsh imo. People said that  they have one of the best treble presentations ever. I dont hear that. Cymbals do not sound right to me .

I don't really believe in burn in. let's see. I wish I had my old 598s to compare.  I think I am used to my DT 150's sound. That might be the reason that they sound boomy.

I use the comply sport tips. they provide isolation and make the sound a bit smoother.  Btw, what kind of a sound signature are you looking for?

I live in India too. Go for the EX1. VFM. They sounded similar to the T1's when I had compared them.

It is the upper treble that is bothering you.  If there is a peak in the lower treble(brightness), the cymbals would sound a bit too bright( not necessarily harsh)  . If there is a peak in the upper treble(air) - the letters T and S would be emphasized .Instruments and vocals would make a sound...

I got the replacement. This pair sounds warm compared to the last one that was bass light. This one does not sound bass light at all. The bass is sufficient. I like this one better.
