the volume of my ne-600x suddenly became lower and the sound became muddy. bass started sounding a bit darker. weird, is this the burn in?

Regarding the bass boost of jds labs c5, does it guarantee that the bass will improve whatever IEM you plug in it?

Hmm. Over ear headphones really doesn't have "perfect" noise cancellation compared with IEMs. I guess I'll stick with IEM.

I'm planning to buy the C5 but I want to use my SoundMagic PL11 and PC as source with it. Isn't the bass boost picky on the kind of earphones you use? I mean, will the bass really increase no matter what earphones you use?

Aside from the Denon AH-C300, what other IEM's are near its performance? The fitting is kinda bugging me. 

I did consider the ZO2. But getting an amp, for me, is future proofing. I may need an amp in the near future. :)    Comparing the (C5 paired with PL11) and C300, the former has more bass with the help of bass boost, right? 

I do intend on using the bass boost function.    I'll buy first the C5 'cause I have a PL11 with me and see how it performs. If it lacks with bass boost, then I'll buy the ah-c300.
