Looks like the 2go isn't passing on the current to the Hugo2. Make sure your charger is a at least 2 to 3 Amps. You might want to connect with someone over at Chord electronics regarding this issue.

I'm using the sw6 with no issues and it made a positive difference to the sound. Its clocked by the ock2 which also clocks the r26 and server. Wouldnt do without the sw6 or ock2 now.

I had similar issues like what you are describing with the cisco meraki switch preceding the sw6. ( they are cascaded), the ciso would lose the connection after a minute...

Sending it to Chord entails long wait times ( I'm in India) not to mention exorbitant costs. I would like to avoid that and do the change myself if possible. I changed the batteries myself on the Hugo2 last year and it seems fine so far.

I agree. Mass loading should be used carefully and as a tool for tuning the sound to one's tastes. For example, I found that mass loading the ock2 clock and tube amps was a no-no. Just deadened the sound. One kg weights on the server and hard drive enclosure ( 2x 18tb hdd) yielded best results...
