I thought the new Acoustic Research over ear headphones they were showing off were fantastic. Massive soundstage, great tonality, yet hard to drive.

Heard them yesterday. Best bass and treble I ever heard, however the midrange was really funky sounding. Quite shouty and harsh. I only listened for 7-10 minutes though.

Went to NY headfi meet where Onkyo was exhibiting and they did not have any of the Japan Headphones. Quite disappointing.

Just heard these at NY audio show. Bass bleeds into the mids quite a bit. Luckily they were very open to receiving feedback.

I'm headed there now. Could anybody tell me how packed it is?

Well Onkyo was just added as an exhibitor at NYC Can Jam in early February! I wish the was a way we could get in contact with the representatives from Onkyo that are going to attend so we can request that they bring a pair of H900m and A800.

This is fantastic News about Onkyo being there. I have been really wanting to test out the A800 and H900M headphones. Is there an email address from the Onkyo representatives that are coming that I could get in contact with them to request if they could bring these headphones?

Something to suggest as well is, for the most part it is preferred to have one cord exiting out of one ear cup as apposed to both which the pictures show the flagship doing. If the engineers at Klipsch could get that to one it may be worthwhile.

I'm in PA. I wish they exhibited at shows cause if they did I would go to NY audio show in a second, just to demo these.

Whatever happened to making headphones for best audio reproduction period? Why a house sound? I recommended they improve of the MH40s cause I think that is a realistic way to get close to maximum performance. But I think Kilpsch shouldn't try to make a house sound, they should try to make the...
