    Questyle QP1

One thing I'd like to see on these DAPs with 2 microSD slots is the capability to show merged source navigation.    I'd love to browse info from 2 sources on the same scroll like it was one big drive!!

    The iBasso DX50 Thread - Latest firmware: 1.9.5 - June 30, 2016

I think it all fits inside the DX50 silicone case (as shown in a previous post), apart from the lumpy back look.

I'm pretty happy with the stability and features of the 1.2.7 release.   I hope that, from now on, our discussion is mainly about amps, storage sizes, sound quality and wallpapers.

Are you sure about that?   When you installed FW1.2.6, did it create an "album_img" folder with images in the MicroSD card? I'm sure mine didn't.   Well, enjoy the update anyway.

The "audio.db" started in 1.2.6 as you said, but I'm referring to the "album_img" folder which is now created in the MicroSD card.    I'm 100% sure this starts in 1.2.7. Up until now it was only created in the internal memory.

I've noticed that on the 1.2.7FW the ".album_img" folder (and content) is created in a redundant way if you use a microSD card.   Something like this:   Internal Memory:    - .album_img>images   MicroSD>     -.audio_data>audio.db     -.audio_data>album_img>images

Thanks for the info.   I'm seriously considering doing something in that vein in the future. I desperately need 500GB to fit my flac collection!!

Have you done any tests regarding the effects on DX50's battery life using this kind of setup?

I can't comment on those technicalities, but reading some information about this product, it seems to announce smartphone compatibility.    http://news.cision.com/integral-memory-plc/r/integral-introduces-the-usb-3-0-portable-solid-state-drive,c9372294   So, if it could work on a smartphone...

True, but has anyone tried SSD in the USB OTG context?    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Integral-512GB-Solid-State-Drive/dp/B00BHUNTHI/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1386062036&sr=8-3&keywords=external+ssd+integral#productDetails   They require much less power. I'm pretty sure that they won't be too...

    The iBasso DX50 Thread - Latest firmware: 1.9.5 - June 30, 2016

I have exactly the same problem and told it to iBasso. This behaviour started on the 1.2.5 release (1.2.0, 1.2.2 and 1.2.3beta don't have it). My scan takes much longer because I have >7000 mp3 files on a MicroSD card. I advise you to send an email to them as well so that the people with...

Well, the 1.2.5 FW version doesn't cut it for me. I've never had any problems with unwanted "media scanning" popups, but with this version it tries to scan my 64GB MicroSDXC on every boot for about 30 minutes!!!   The agony...

Thanks for that. A few days ago I've noticed that changing the gain from mid to high (and lowering to aprox. the same volume afterwards...) I get more detail on the latter. I guess the battery consumption will suffer significantly with this setting...   Anyway, my point is that even with...

I have 3 or 4 mp3 files that cause the DX50 to freeze, but work perfectly fine in other platforms. It has nothing to do with encoding or tags.  I've reported the issue to iBasso a few weeks ago, they acknowledged the problem and said they would try to solve it ASAP.

I think you can put the firmware img file on the SD and do the update from there.   I've never tried it, though.
