Picked up the sr225x to add to my collection (SR60i, PS500, MS1e). So far I am loving them. Not as bright as I expected. Very detailed, crisp, and "punchy". There is just an energy to them that is hard to describe, but exactly what I was hoping for. Great punchy mid-bass with no muddyness or...

Finally got around to ordering a pair of MS1e. These things are fantastic for the price. So much better than my old SR60i. Punchier bass, bolder mids, more detail, just a great well rounded headphone. I still love my PS500's but these things come close. Very satisfied.

Anyone have the new MS1-e? I have and love the PS500, but always wanted to try and Alessandro and a new e-series Grado. Worth spending the $110?

I was never happy with the bass on my old sr60s. Felt like they didn't have any sometimes. PS500's on the other hand - perfect. Sounds like I will be happy with the bass on the MS1e's as well. 

That is really interesting that the red drivers were temporary. It's so confusing to know what you are going to get!   I've been intrigued with Alessandros and have wanted to order a pair for a while now. They seem more mysterious and rare than the regular Grados. I already own the original...
