A few pages back someone posted M200 for $50, but it was Canada-only (I think it was visions.ca store) So $100 doesn't look like a good deal, unless you are getting free shipping right to your home.

Another Canada-only deal. Perhaps it would be useful to note, which countries the deal is limited to? It is really frustrating to see a great deal, get your hopes up, and then find out you just cannot get it.

And a few Golden ones (like mine) were custom-upgraded with Black Gate caps :) I think not more than a couple of dozens Golden Cards were made, but no proof. Black Gate Golden Card sounds so much better than standard or regular balanced.

I heard only ~300 pcs of these were made. I wonder if anyone here has Golden Card for MA9 - apparently they never made it to serial manufacturing.

Yep, you do (if you turn it on in card settings, that is). External DAC / Amp just gives you an overall better sound quality, with no relation to surround.

Official site says Titanium series have THX... As far as I know, Titanium only exist with PCI-E. That is because Titanium are 2nd gen X-Fi cards, while the 1st gen (Xtreme Gamer, Fatal1ty series, Elite Pro) existed with PCI as well.   Also check videos on Youtube comparing various HRTF...

With use, XL pads will gradually compress, giving you more bass - but probably less comfort. It will be very slow, however. So you might not even notice, until you get a brand new pair of XL pads for direct comparison.

The v1 were by no means bass monsters... are v2 much better in that regard? I'm after really punchy bass for explosions, growls, crashing sounds, etc.

Any V-Moda alternatives with deep rumbling bass for immersive games (single-player only) and movies? Desirable higher frequency roll-off (due to sensitivity to sibilance). It must be closed-back, over-ear, lightweight and comfortable (V-Moda with stock pads is not enough comfortable for me...

For TV's, I think it is slightly different. Since TV-shops have some enormous lighting. So TV screen's brightness should be pushed to its limits, otherwise it would seem bleak. BTW they say this is why plasma screens lost battle to LED, with lower peak brightness they looked less impressive...

I have removed one of the pads partially, and definitely there is dry glue underneath.   This isn't my first experience with M-100, I have some experience of replacing its pads.

Tried to remove the stock pads to replace with XL - and guess what.. They're glued as well )))))) Lucky me.   Anyone ever dealt with Demo-items? Maybe friendly advice, which other surprises I should expect?

That's what I thought. But my sample is in pretty good condition, for a demo unit... no major signs of wear. That got me curious.

It was "POPULARTHINGS-US", they describe themselves as pawn shop so I suppose not an authorized seller... I just wonder if anyone ever saw a "DEMO" sample of this model. Still guessing what that could mean.
