    Brainwavz HM5 (Fa-003 variant) with $50 amp vs ATH-M50

The FiiO E17 by itself almost maxes out my budget, so I don't think that will be a possibility.

    Brainwavz HM5 (Fa-003 variant) with $50 amp vs ATH-M50

I was almost sure of that, but I still have a question, which is about the bass, as while hearing everything is awesome and something I really want, I need a good amount of bass, otherwise I don't enjoy the headphones.   So basically my question is, with about a 50 dollar amp, can I increase...

    Brainwavz HM5 (Fa-003 variant) with $50 amp vs ATH-M50

*Huff Huff* CLEAR!!!   I'm worried that I'm going to just need to make a new thread soon, as it seems people are losing interest... Or would that technically be against the rules?

    Brainwavz HM5 (Fa-003 variant) with $50 amp vs ATH-M50

The cable is a little short on this pair. Also, is their really not a better pair I can get for more, as I was thinking more around the $150 price range?

    Brainwavz HM5 (Fa-003 variant) with $50 amp vs ATH-M50

Is this a hard question, or has this thread basically just died?

    Brainwavz HM5 (Fa-003 variant) with $50 amp vs ATH-M50

Also, it needs some pretty good build quality, as some people in my place aren't exactly careful, so detachable cables would be nice, but by no means necessary.

    Brainwavz HM5 (Fa-003 variant) with $50 amp vs ATH-M50

This seems to have died... DEFIBRILLATOR!!!    Anyway, does anyone who has listened to both have an idea for if it's possible?   If I can't get at least similar bass to the m50's when the HM5's have a $50 amp, then can you recommend a headset with similar quality and sibilance, as well as...

    Brainwavz HM5 (Fa-003 variant) with $50 amp vs ATH-M50

Also, the question about the Bass would be good, as I do like having a good amount of bass, but definitely not overwhelming.

    Brainwavz HM5 (Fa-003 variant) with $50 amp vs ATH-M50

They will mainly be used on my computer that has only a built in sound card, and a laptop. I will, however, be getting a top of the line android phone in the coming months, so the amp being portable would be a little helpful; however, if the non mobile one will sound way better, I can get a...

    Brainwavz HM5 (Fa-003 variant) with $50 amp vs ATH-M50

Alrighty, so a little while ago, I was recommended the Beyerdynamic DT 770; however, I then heard many places that it reveals sibilance quite a bit, and since one of the main uses I will use the headphones for is watching anime and listening to music in Japanese, which have a TON of sibilance, I...

Help finding headphones around $100-$150 for variety of uses

Quick question, how comfortable are these headphones, as they will sometimes be worn for 10+ hours occasionally?

I am both in the US and I "think" I have a guitar center near me... I should probably go check that out.

That's good. I'm seriously considering getting these.   Quick question though, should I get the 80 ohm or 250 ohm version?

Help finding headphones around $100-$150 for variety of uses

I can't remember which term is which, but while not letting sound in is always welcome, I really need them to not let much sound out, as I listen to music/game/watch videos in the same room as someone else who does other things, and they find it annoying when they can make out the lyrics to the...

Help finding headphones around $100-$150 for variety of uses

I actually wanted a long cord, as I like walking around the room I have my computer in while listening to music.

Help finding headphones around $100-$150 for variety of uses

I have a quick question, how loud do these get, as I sometimes put my music REALLY loud, only occasionally though, as prolonged exposure would definitely damage my ears?

Help finding headphones around $100-$150 for variety of uses

Just to re-iterate (sorry), and also to bump this thread, I would like pretty good bass, I need noise cancellation, noise from the inside going out mainly, as I listen to things pretty loud, and I live with people who find it annoying. I would also prefer a long cord, as I like to pace around...

Help finding headphones around $100-$150 for variety of uses

Please remember that if the headphones need an amp to sound good, that the amps price needs to be included into the budget.   Also, I wont be able to do open/on the ear, as they don't give noise cancellation, and that is a must for my headset.

One quick reminder, is that this will be a headset that is worn for hours upon hours, so comfort is very important. Also, would the open/on the ears give good noise cancellation, as that is also quite important, as I live with people?

The bass is more important to me than the sound stage. I only need a decent sound stage to be satisfied, while lacking bass would leave me incredibly unhappy with my purchase. Now, this isn't to say I want my bass over-powering everything, but I do want a nice oomph to it.

Help finding headphones around $100-$150 for variety of uses

At home, if the headset that I get is good enough for outside use, I may use it outside, but I would prefer the best I can get for indoors.   I would prefer over-the-ear, as I live with someone, and I like listening to stuff at pretty high volumes.   Like the answer to last question, the...

Help finding headphones around $100-$150 for variety of uses

Alright, so I'm quite new to the audio scene. I've done research to help myself find a good pair, but am still mainly new to it all. After seeing many people find help here, I decided that it would be a good idea to also see if I could also receive some of your guys collective knowledge.   I...
