Hard to compare such a different constructions - closed vs. open.    Warmer and less treble glare = K550 for sure. I used them for just a couple of days, but I love them - one of the best closed back cans I ever used. But for me K612 are just superb in terms of clarity, dynamics, details ...

It was intended to be a parody video clip, came out to be a no.1 hit in Poland for a while :-)  The big advantage of this is that you don't have to turn the audio on :-)

  The difference in impedance can be (and I'm persistant to say that it is) caused by a different cable.  Also, when you take a look at the graphs comparing K612 and K712/702 you'll see a lot of similarities.  To my ears they sound alike with differences in stage. Details, clarity, fun ... if...

  Well, if eyes see 'Creative' logo on the phones, automatic blockage in the mind switch on and seeing the price tag with 129EUR on people say 'no way!'. Simple as that. The general opinion is that AKG, Grado, Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic etc. are more likely better in audio than a manufacturer...

  DT770 is nothing special to my ears. I'd say that DT880 and DT990 are very interesting, sparkling and technically precise.  To me CAL!2 are much better in every way (comfort, precision, fun).
