HD650 lacks the low-end and speed for EDM, but other then that they are solid. But you would have to spend a big number to get an obvious upgrade (if one could consider it that). Atleast if you want more speed. Hifiman HEX & HEK aint that bad with EDM, tho I find them to have a slight distant...

  FirstWatt makes everything sound better! I had my LCD-3s connected to a FirstWatt F6 when I had HE-6 myself. So smooth and liquid! 

Could u be a little more specific why? What I miss with my HD6X0 is the speed (ive only heard he-1000, crazy how fastr it is compared to LCD-3 which I had at the time) and the crystal clear sound. Hows the speed with Elear compared to HEX? (my sig isent updated, I dont have HE-6 anymore...

One can only hope that it backfires and make certain companies get back to planet earth!  Lets face it, its not night & day differences between lets say a 1k headphone and a 3k.

You know... Stuff like that is what scare people away and make hifi look like a very unserious business... $145k system that you probably wont really hear the difference between in a blind test versus much cheaper stuff. 

In terms of DJ's, there's alot of better clubs in Berlin than Berghain, in my opinion. Speaking of such, ever been at Primavera in Barcelona? They used B&W I believe, really good sound, probably the best ive experienced at a festival. Not to mention the lineup! DJ Koze, Maceo plex, Moderat...

How is the slam/punch/whatever you want to call it in the bass/mid bass? How are the dynamics?  Good for electronics music & EDM?   

Most headphones sound better with higher volum? I remember my Audeze's did aswell

I find HD650 suprisingly bassy. But its not very clean, tight and clear like planars.    I got Valhalla 2 now, sounds terrific! Better then the WA6-SE I had
