It definitely needs a good amp. I would recommend at least 1W output. It is an orthodynamic that sounds OK from normal sources like phones, but definitely can sound much better with a good amp.

Interested to see how these hold up to the RS1e. They probably have much better bass for one. I am skeptical if they have better mids and imaging, but we will see.

Hey guys what is the best way to open up Monk earbuds for recable? My monk+ just died on me because of the poor strain relief so I am thinking of practicing my recabling skills for my real operations (blox and zen). What tools do you guys use and methods for opening up earbuds easily?
