Glad that you like them! I dislike foam tips because I really don’t like rolling them before inserting. I imagine that the foam tips pull back the high end so that they don’t overpower the mids like I feel they do on most tracks with silicone tips.

After trying the U12T, U18S, U18Ts and Fir Xenon 6, I have just bought a preowned set of U18Ts as they sounded the best to me. As the U18Ts are ancient, what the upgrade path is from here or will these be endgame? Are there newer IEMs that outperform the U18Ts at a similar or lower price?

Interesting idea. I have a Mode Sonnet keyboard and a Fiio KA5 sitting on the desk beside it, as I have limited space for a dac/amp. Don’t think that I could give up the build quality of the Mode Sonnet though.

I love the treble on the Andromeda 2020 but crave more bass response. I find that the Astell & Kern SP2000T on Hybrid Amp mode (uses both solid state and tube amp) helps open up the bass response while retaining the treble resolution. JVC Spiral Dot tips also seem to improve bass response slightly.
