    The iBasso DX50 Thread - Latest firmware: 1.9.5 - June 30, 2016

Does anyone know if iBasso will be fixing the bug/removing the feature where your music fades in for the first second when gapless is set to "closed"? Also, is there a difference between the "5 sec" and "10 sec" setting for gapless?

DX50 Bug List, Wish List Fix

My device seems to be working again. I just left it on its own, battery still inserted, sd card removed and now it works fine again. I'm not sure when the bug will occur again but i'll enjoy while i can!

DX50 Bug List, Wish List Fix

Recovery mode shows a blank screen too - no text. Maybe you could tell me the steps to wipe it? (E.g. Number of presses to navigate to the wipe option). I suspect that while the screen is blank, the dx50 is still functioning like normal. Thanks!

DX50 Bug List, Wish List Fix

I've tried that and pulling the battery, but it still shows the black screen as soon as it starts up. The iBasso logo doesn't show too. Recovery mode also gives me the black screen.

DX50 Bug List, Wish List Fix

Has anybody noticed this bug: sometimes when you turn on the screen, the backlight lights up, but only a black screen is displayed. I'ved searched the thread but couldn't find any reports of this bug. Maybe it might be my device only :/

The Accudio app by golden ears, a headphone revolution.

A few weeks ago I emailed Goldenears giving them feedback on Accudio. Basically, I requested for a more iOS music player-like UI, album art on lockscreen. I also requested for them to fix the issue where the album art would be stretched if it was not a perfectly square picture. They said yes to...

What is the sound quality of iPhone, iPad, iPod (Touch)?

IMO, the sound from amping from the DAC (wolfson wm8533) in the lightning adapter sounds better than amping from the headphone out. I could hear an improvement in soundstage and instrument separation. The sound also sounded more natural (that from the iphone 5 sounded "digital" to me).

iPod Classic 7th Gen vs iPhone 5

Hi there. I personally feel that the iPhone 5's DAC has quite poor instrument separation and soundstage compared to the iPhone 4 and 4S. Sorry, I have not tried the Classic 7G so I can't say much. However, I am not saying that the iPhone 5 sounds bad. The sound has pretty good resolution though.

    Questions About Stereo Crosstalk

Thanks for all your replies, I now understand a lot more about stereo crosstalk :) And it looks like I won't have to worry too much about stereo crosstalk in the future.

    Questions About Stereo Crosstalk

Okay, maybe "high-end" was a wrong word. I meant something like a decent/entry level audiophile DAC. Yes, I know that ~57dB is low compared to many other DACs nowadays. But if i'm not wrong, the sansa clip (not sure if it's the plus) has a stereo crosstalk value of just around -44dB? Actually, I...

    Questions About Stereo Crosstalk

Thanks for the answers :) I guess I won't have to worry about stereo crosstalk unless it's greater (closer to 0) than -40dB. So, does that mean that a DAC with ~ -45dB can still be considered "high-end"?

    Questions About Stereo Crosstalk

Hi guys. So recently I checked an RMAA test for the performance of a dac and I noticed that its stereo crosstalk value was around -57dB and RMAA rated it as "Average". So, what is the worst value of stereo crosstalk that is considered "acceptable"? Does stereo crosstalk degrade audio quality by...

    Portable Rig Dilema

Thanks, man. I 'll be using the Touch then, the iPhone 5 + Adapter is a bit bulky :)

    Portable Rig Dilema

Thanks, I'll use the iPod Touch then. Actually, comparing the sound from the iPod Touch and the Lightning-30 Pin Adapter, I feel that the adapter provides a somewhat larger soundstage and slightly better instrument separation. I wonder if it's all in my head. BTW, a side question - does the iPod...

    Portable Rig Dilema

Hello everyone! I've been visiting the Head-Fi forums for quite some time now and now I've just registered. I would like to seek some of your advices on deciding what my portable rig should be. Currently, I have an iPod Touch 4th Generation and an iPhone 5. I am planning to use them with a FiiO...
