I just got my SU-6. Downloaded drivers, and my PC recognized it. Using JRiver Media Center > USB > SU-6 >BNC > Gungnir MB > Quicksilver Headphone Amp > K601. So far, so good.

Any change to the sound signature of the headphones - original pad vs. aftermarket?

Long-time Taurus owner - I love the headamp. Plenty of power for just about any headphone. HD650, Elex, HE-4XX, DT880, K-601 are my headphones. My Taurus is fed by a OG Freya.

I replaced it with a Blue Dragon cable from Moon Audio. The new cable gave the cans more clarity without making them bright or adding any other issues. I like them a lot. What don't you like about the stock cable?

Does your DAC have digital outs? If so, do you use them? If you use them, how and why do you use them? USB to SPDIF transport? Just trying to learn more about the feature on some DACs!

It appears to be a pre-amp with a module that allows you to run more components through the pre-amp if you are constrained by the inputs available on the base unit. At least that’s how I’m interpreting it... Feel free to set me straight if I missed something.
