  I've recently found these lying around, and they work with my headphones. And they've reasonably expanded it's soundstage, but I dont really know if I should keep going with these, or buy an actual AMP+DAC combo. What say you, head-fi?

They're not bad earphones, but for for the asking price, you'd rather look somewhere else. Before I gave mine away though, they sounded alright. Was bassy for my taste though, and like most people said, doesn't mesh really well with rock and alternative.

Yes, go with te GR07s. They've preformed well for me, and they keep up with anything you throw at them

I would steer away from the Klipsch S4s, since they're bassy, and would be against what music you listen to. And their build quality was kinda eh in my experience. The jack's housing just gave in on me 3 months in and cut off the left earphone's sound

I've been rockin' these for about a month now, and the sibilance really does flatten itself out after burn-in. And what I really enjoy about these is its separation. Drums sound really great coming out of them

Budget is around $220 and I went to the ATH-M50s since it has so much positive reviews towards its name. I will look at the Sr-225i, however. Thanks

I have been looking at the Audio Technica-ATH50s, how about those? I know they're closed headphones, but they're $70 off at Amazon right now and looks like a good pick
