you may have impedance issues... mine does not make any noise when I use the volume knob.  have yours checked out coz i have another friend and his is unit is also excellent.

got mine  :)  although it feels to me that the volume knob is a bit loose... will go back to Jaben and see if the other units they have have tighter knobs.  overall still an excellent purchase and goes well with my AK100

oh yeah thats another can that comes with a bad cable.  i see you got the w3000 ... hows it so far?  wanted to get that but the cable is fixed so its hard to change to a shorter cable.  

The K3003 has been said to be sonically the same as the HD800 and quite analytical as well.  The only thing the K3003 wont be able to compete with is the soundstage

Are the tubes used with the Continental V3 replaceable?  Looking to get one, but knowing that tubes do have a lifespan, I was wondering if they are replaceable.  What is the lifespan of the tubes for the V3?  Anyone got some info on that?
