What a long, strange trip it's been -- (Robert Hunter)
It's not a tuner, it's a pitch shifting device that modifies the tuning/pitch of the original product. Got it?- mithrandir38

I'm actually referring to the analog compressors used for dynamic range compression. That's what actually crushes the mix. I don't really care about lossy /lossless digital file compression. A well mixed, un-squished 320 kbps is fine with me.- mithrandir38

Unfortunately, you can't uncompress compressed music (outside the studio) , no matter how hard you try. But it's a pretty thought.- mithrandir38

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
On the Andy Timmons front, probably my favorite album he features on is Simon Phillip's Protocol III. His playing is simply sublime on it: a great Fusion record. I think he recorded one of his most soulful tunes on it with Amrita- mithrandir38

Cool man. She definitely falls on the heavy Fusion side. A Matter of Perception is one of my favorite instrumental albums of the last several years.- mithrandir38

As an aside, you might wanna check out Nili Brosh, if you haven't heard of her. She's a protege of Tony Macalpine. A really talented instrumental songwriter with tons of technique- mithrandir38

My 2m blue lasted for years. I only had to replace it when I stupidly brushed beneath it and broke the cantilever. A great sounding budget choice.- mithrandir38

Review by 'mithrandir38' on item 'Ampsandsound Kenzie Encore'
Intro: The ampsandsound Kenzie Encore is an improved version of the original Kenzie headphone amplifier. The amplifier uses two 1626 tubes for output and a 12SL7 for the input. It can also accept 12a(x,t)7-series tubes using an aftermarket adapter. Unlike the original Kenzie, however, this...- mithrandir38

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Unless a piece of equipment is grossly out of phase or mechanically unsound or ill-designed, I find most systems have some degree of the above mentioned cringe-inducing acronym. For me at least, it is incredibly undescriptive- mithrandir38

Just my Mjolnir 2 amp, which I sold to a friend on another site. I prefer the all tube sound of the Encore. I'll a have a review up on the coming weeks- mithrandir38

ampsandsound (aka Amps & Sound)
It has the same tonality as the original, but slams a bit harder with the optional input transformers. It's a bit quiet than the original. The dual inputs are a godsend, and it sounds great as a preamp. In short, everything that was good about the Kenzie is improved on the Encore.- mithrandir38
