I know Bottlehead Crack is very popular among HD650 users, but what about with K701? Does it synergize well with it?

I am currently in the same situation as you, but looking at Lyr now. I think better wait for somebody more experienced to give suggestions.

Why are you not liking the HD650s? They are comfy, have great sound and bass imo. Maybe you don't like the dark (veiled) sound? I own both the K701 and HD650, but the senns are currently my favourite cans.

They could be portable if u have a portable setup. Place the amp and player in the headphone case with K701 and you're good to go.

4 pairs??   You can buy a HD800 with that amount of money and still have spare.

What about the K701? Wide soundstage and great detail.

Is it just me or my HD650 does better in imaging than K701? Currently using O2 and ODAC.

Get the PS500 if you want the fun sound. The K702 does not suit your needs since its on the bass-light department while Grados have a fun tonality.

Thanks for the replies guys. I know the lyr is indeed a very good amp for my HD650 and K701 as the reviews are excellent. Do anyone have comparisons of the lyr with O2 or other of its close contenders?

Burn in does exist in headphones and also in our brain. My K701 sounded crappy until one day after burnt-in. The clarity improved by a lot and the sound was free of grain unlike before.

Hi guys, I am planning to buy a lyr as i own an O2 and ODAC. I have a few questions: Is the lyr a significant and worthy upgrade for the O2? Is there any way i can connect my ODAC to the lyr? Thanks

Tighter bass and improved clarity was all I could find.  How about the purchase since it is not on the website?

Just asking, how does the Silver Poison compare to the Silver Widow on the HD650? Besides, why isn't the Silver Widow available on the website?

The Sony R-10s look majestic and grand to me, no doubt the best looking.

Just received my hd650 and in sonic bliss now. Sounds awesome but a bit congested and grainy .Hope they will open up after some time of use.
