Great review Mark.  I just got a pair of these from a member who said that there had maybe 90 hours on them and I burned about another 30 more.  I use pink noise at a moderate to loud level.  The highs are bright, (which is good for me), and the quality bass is lacking, but I do like the mids...

technology is improving and so are the choices--this is good, especially --when you find the right combination that suits your needs... (like EAC or Monkey or whatever),-  But IMO it comes down to garbage in then garbage out unless those adjustments are made correctly....

see if "Blue Jeans Cable" can make you a cable to your length and liking and "Signalcable" does good work, give them a call.- also go to AVS site and read what some have used to their systems, and finally look at some of the "audiophile" systems and see if there may brand to your liking there...

just to set your mind at ease, that last 10% of "audiophile sound" you are looking for without paying the price is the carrot in front of the horse mentality that drives us all; and is never reached or else there would be no upgrading....  Try to be as satisfied as you can now, knowing somewhere...
