    Little Dot I+ Tube Rolling

I was wondering if there was a frequency I could cut in foobar to take away the hard highs. I don't use the eq but was wondering if this would help before I get some new tube?

    Little Dot I+ Tube Rolling

They are Tung-sol 6AH6, Its been a constant problem for me, I seem to have a sensitivity to harsh top ends. One thing I have noticed since I put the muse02 in is every now and then, I hear a click/pop, not overly loud and not all the time...strange. I may give your tubes a try, i'll look on ebay...

    Little Dot I+ Tube Rolling

A2107, and the muse02 seems louder. I now have the volume at about 3 whereas before it was 4-5. don't know if that's making a difference?

    Little Dot I+ Tube Rolling

Just popped in a muse02 and was quite surprised at the difference. Vocals are a bit hard but I am hoping that will change (don't know if op-amps need burning in). definitely more detail and the bass is superb, makes my Q701's sound warm and deep. I feel like the soundstage has narrowed a bit but...

    Little Dot I+ Tube Rolling

I have just ordered a Muses02 to see if I can squeeze just a little more bass out of my little dot & Q701. I was wondering if anybody would like to share their top 5 albums that they use as a reference to test any tube rolling or op amp rolling. I have 5 that are my go to cd's that tell me if...

Do I have to change my amp?

Thanks, I'm currently taking a look at the Phillips and they look promising. I am also looking at the MUSES02 op amp that may help. I'm not a big fan of "rolling", just not my thing but I may give the op amp a try and if that doesn't work, i may order the phillips.   Thanks again

Breathing new life into my Little Dot 1+

Just got a Cambridge Audio DacMagic 100 to go with my little dot 1+ and modded Q701's....good lord what a fantastic sound to my ears, loads of detail and my Q701's have never sounded so good. 3.5 hours of listening and still great (I need to go to bed). I have been out of the forums for a while as I was mostly frustrated that I couldn't get the sound that I wanted (even with all the help from the forum) people here are so knowledgeable and they have helped me tremendously but with low funds I just gave up.   It was my 49th birthday last...

Thanks anyway, just read some reviews on the CD player and it seems to have a lot of mechanical problems so I will probably stick with their DAC

I do agree, I posted this in the components forum but would like some input from this forum if it ok. So I am looking into the Cambridge Audio Azur DacMagic 100 but for an extra $50 I could buy their Topaz CD10 CD Player. I will be using CD's exclusively so would it be a better deal to get the...

So I am looking into the Cambridge Audio Azur DacMagic 100 but for an extra $50 I could buy their Topaz CD10 CD Player. I will be using CD's exclusively so would it be a better deal to get the CD player which seems to have a good DAC in it or buy the Azur DacMagic 100 and pick up a cheap CD...

Thanks, I did look into that. I was wondering if I can pick up any cheap CD player as long as its got a digital output to feed whatever DAC I choose to buy. How important is the CD player if I am only using the transport side of it?

With the great advice from the people in this thread, it looks like my front end may be the biggest problem so my new question is.....new, higher quality CD player (about $500) or a transport & DAC?  My head is spinning from the selections so any advice on where to start would be great. I can...
