I managed to take off coating of donar(samsung) Jack, those wires are really fine, I'm more worried that there will be more wires inside xb30ex.

I bought a Sony Xb30ex in early 2013 and It "broke" in early 2014 ,I get sound from only one channel and it's Jack needs to be "twisted" gently to a certain angle to get sound from both Channels. Question: I've a old Samsung earphone(with mic) laying around which has three wires, BLACK, GREEN...

I doubt that was distorted sound. Volume is at 70% and its 2:16am here i can still hear that sound and clear. Nope, speakers seems fine.

my friend had philips and creative's headphone but they were not as good as Samsung earphones despite their higher  price.  They struggle to maintain bass if you starts  increase mids upper mids and highs. same goes to samsung earphones but it was still better.   Anyone ?

i can hear till 22000hz with ease :P 14 i am using loudspeaker on my Galaxy S2 instead of actual earphones. impressive !

What about headphones mentioned in op ? They seems better overall than those Phillips.

How is bass ? Is the cord durable?
