I did that for years and years, I have yet to be trumped.  But I guess that isn't too bad.

When you go to Best Buy carrying your headphones to compare to the other ones they have just to see what garbage sounds like.   On a side note, the Sennheiser HD428s are among the least expensive they carry in store and sound better than anything else they have 3-4X the price.
