I was looking at this as well, according to a post on www.audiosciencereview.com, it can be done but not with both amps (headphone and stereo) on at the same time. Leaving one off should be possible.

I was looking at the same dac for the same reasons, use the xlr for the stereo amp and the rca for headphones. No one knows?

Hi, I just got my BH and after few hours of testing, I'm getting a very disturbing noise especially in the right channel. It's getting more and more present if I increase the volume past half. Is this normal or might be my unit defective?
