Sony WH-1000XM4 discussion and reviews
Got it, so using them wirelessly without ANC will still have the DSP and they should sound the same is what I'm getting? The loss of quality comes with plugging them in only?- jedy617

I plan to use them wireless, is that considered "powered"? Or by powered do you mean with ANC? I guess I could set the ANC to the lowest possible and then maybe it wouldn't give me headaches- jedy617

Sony WH-1000XM4 discussion and reviews
Hey guys, quick question. For those of you that have these, can you comment on sound quality with ANC off? I was thinking of grabbing these as a nice set of bluetooth travel cans, however ANC usually gives me headaches so I was thinking of just having ANC off the entire time. I've heard...- jedy617

Sony MDR-1A - Sony's latest update on the 1R
Someone for the love of god help me. Just got them and I love them besides the fact that the tips of my ears touches the drivers. What's the best pad or mod solution to fix this? Are the geekria pads on amazon thicker? What the hell do I do about this?- jedy617

Amp recommendation for TH-X00
Ok I grabbed a set of Fostex TH-X00. Am I good with just buying an amp or do I need a DAC too? Wanna spend the least amount of money possible. Schitt fulla 2, magni 3, or save up for a magni and modi? I'm running a new alienware so that should mean that I should be ok dac wise for something...- jedy617

I'm running a new alienware so that should mean that I should be ok dac wise for something like this right? Or is a nicer dac really necessary? Oh btw forgot I have Zorloo ZuperDac usb DAC/AMP, so maybe that will suffice for now?- jedy617

So, here is my headphone history. AKG K550, ATH-MSR7, Senn HD598, Senn Momentum 2.0 over ear. (The 2 senns are what I'm rocking now). I love my sennheisers but I'm looking for something a little different, something more interesting. I want a really fun pair of headphones, something that packs a...- jedy617

Audio-Technica ATH-MSR7 Discussion Thread
Just comfort overall. Earpads are a little shallow and not very cushioned, headband is not comfy, clamping force... I don't think they are super uncomfortable but these are going to be my one over the ear set so I want them as comfortable as possible. My huge K550's feel better situated on my head- jedy617

I don't think the comfort is horrible, but I'm going to be using these as my main headphones so I want them comfy as possible. Yes, they creak a lot, but only when you are adjusting them on your head. I bought the brainwavz pleather pads and I wasn't crazy about the setup, it just felt too bulky...- jedy617

God I love the sound quality from these but now I'm thinking I'm going to return them..they just aren't comfy to me. I might pick up a set of momentum 2.0's or something else, not sure yet.- jedy617

Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 and Wireless!
Has anyone here used both the momentum 2.0's and AKG K550's? Looking for a replacement for my AKG's and want to improve on comfort and sound quality in general.- jedy617

Thanks for the info, I have 3 more weeks to return them so I'll keep trying to see if they will loosen up. I can get a great deal on the B&W P7 at $270 or the momentum 2.0's at $220 so there's that too. Or the MDR1A for $200 which I hear is comfy but sound quality is meh- jedy617
