How about the Parasound Vdac v.2? I'm going get that very soon, i heard it's better built with a toridal transformer. Most of the other don't even have that quality.

I'm planning to get the Zdac v.2 in a couple of days. Should I buy balance cables for it? I'm planning to use it with power amp that has xlr balance. I think the magni and modi is going on sale soon. I will update once i order it. 

Sounds great!  Is the ZDac's better than the magni for headphone amp? Should i keep my Magni 2 uber or sell it after getting the ZDac?

I just received my Teac UD-501. I been listening for 52 minutes and All I can say is "WOW" music sound like High definition now! It can power my Audeze LCD-2 just right. This is so cool.

Awe! Why is it so weak. I now have to compliment it with Asgard2 or Lyr2, whatever fits my budget. 

So I ordered the Teac UD-501, but didn't realize it only output 1 watt through the amp. I'm getting it this week.   So reading through this thread I can get a feel that this is a great DAC but a bit weak on the AMP side.   Would you guys consider the LYR2 a good compliment to the Teac...

So I just got upgrady-titus, and put in an order for Teac ud-501 AMP/DAC , should be getting it this Thursday. I'll update when i get it. 

Turns out i didn't purchase a balance dac/amp. So i probably won't need it for a while. 

Nice suggestions, what about the original cable from Audeze.com? Is it any good for 80 bucks?

  Thats quite impressive. Lyr2 is so powerful. .  Thats makes me want one too.  

It's been a few days now, kinda disappointing in the Asus Xonar stx sound card, it doesn't not have enough dynamic and bass. I remember using the Magni and Modi uber and it was way better. 

Hey sorry for the late reply, I was really busy. I never listen to the LCD-3 before, but I do have experience with the LCD-XC, and yes i do notice it much brighter with better clarity. Hope that helps! cheers.

I was wondering the same thing. 

Just received my LCD-2F a few days ago. It turn out that I didn't buy the Schiit high end amp and dac. I currently using Asus Essense STX sound card and it sounds alright for now. I do notice after 15 hour of burn in it sound so much better then when i first listen to it. I now believe in Burn-in.

I just got my LCD-2 fazor and do notice a difference with the higher model (XC is an improvement), but for me i don't want to pay 1000 more for the LCD-3.  Thats just me though. Money is scarce for me. But off course if I could afford it, why not?
