    TDK TH-ST800

I just scored a pair of these at fry's on closeout for $45. I don't believe at that price there is anything out there even close. Sure, they are no match for my $1500 Sennies, but I plan to take these on the plane vs the beats I have. Only issue is they are heavy like the Denons and don't fold...

The Decware TABOO MK 111 Thread

My Polk Monitor 60's are powered to a nice listening level by the Taboo. No where close to rock concert levels, but surprisingly good. It also sounds FAR superior to my ears than my Onkyo solid state for stereo. If you don't have a large room and you get a nice speaker to pair with it, I am sure...

    A Visit to Decware

What I see happening to me is I am going to get the Pendragons and they are going to lust for more power than my Taboo can provide and just like that...... I am screwed.

I keep falling asleep on my couch listening to the taboo. I wake up in the middle of the night and stumble to bed. Its becoming a new routine.

I haven't tried it without the CSP yet though. I may experiment for you.

The Decware TABOO MK 111 Thread

My floorstanding Polks are not very efficient and the taboo drives them to a louder volume than I really care to listen to them. I ran it without the sub from the CSP pre-out and I was still satisfied. The MG944s are way more efficient than my Polk Monitor 60s. They will get loud enough to fill...

I love my MK3 as well!!! I am finding myself using it with my crappy Polk Audio speakers a whole lot. This is sooooo soooo much more than just a great headphone amp. Makes me anxious to get some great speakers to pair with it. The HD800s seem to like the Taboo pretty well. I am glad also I have...

    Amp recommendations for Audeze LCD-2

I have the Peachtree Audio DAC-it (Sabre) and it is overall a pretty good dac in your price range especially if you will need optical or coaxial outputs. They sell them refurbished on their site.

Tell me about it. I was looking at the mystery amp thread at the decware site, and I am so jonesing for that amp. It looks like it would be a great endgame amp for the pendragons. Oh well, I am still saving up for the Dragons and I am already on to the next thing :-)

The Decware TABOO MK 111 Thread

I finally broke down and plugged my rather tame Polk Monitor 60's into the ole Taboo MK3 and CSP combo. I can say with pretty good confidence that with an efficient speaker this amp can fill a large room. My listening space is 20x18X8 and with those poor little polks I can get it to a room...

I don't know if I will ever be able to convince myself to spend that much on a DAC, but it does sound like a beast! Congrats.

I can't speak from experience as I do not own the LCD2 or 3, but I would think that the Audezes would benefit from the 2 different lucid modes' soundstage expansion. I am sure that they sound great on it, as that is the headphone used by steve to create the MK3 Taboo.

The Decware TABOO MK 111 Thread

I love the new Lucid Mode. It is a big time soundstage expander, especially on the HD800s though. The best I can explain it is like listening to a "hall" mode on a digital DSP. It doesn't work with everything, but it makes some music sound so much more "live" and sounds much more like a set of...

I am in a state of awe. This is so much fun. I may become house-bound. The HD800s are a lot of fun with these two amps. I really can't imagine having any more fun than this. I wish I had the LCD3s to complement the system, but I am totally satisfied.

I am a fan of the new lucid mode. Fun!!!! It does seem a bit beyond "natural," but it creates an out-of-head expansive Soundstage! I find myself turning it on a whole lot. I am also really enjoying the CSP paired with the MK3. I really wish I had more nerd-fi experience to fall back on and some...

Decware Appreciation Thread (MT review up on first page 2-10-12)

Yes, I really liked the Sabre sound with the HD800s. The Peachtree is a great value and offers optical in. I am sure there are better options, but it will be a long while before I go exploring.
