My Polk Monitor 60's are powered to a nice listening level by the Taboo. No where close to rock concert levels, but surprisingly good. It also sounds FAR superior to my ears than my Onkyo solid state for stereo. If you don't have a large room and you get a nice speaker to pair with it, I am sure...

What I see happening to me is I am going to get the Pendragons and they are going to lust for more power than my Taboo can provide and just like that...... I am screwed.

I keep falling asleep on my couch listening to the taboo. I wake up in the middle of the night and stumble to bed. Its becoming a new routine.

I have the Peachtree Audio DAC-it (Sabre) and it is overall a pretty good dac in your price range especially if you will need optical or coaxial outputs. They sell them refurbished on their site.

I finally broke down and plugged my rather tame Polk Monitor 60's into the ole Taboo MK3 and CSP combo. I can say with pretty good confidence that with an efficient speaker this amp can fill a large room. My listening space is 20x18X8 and with those poor little polks I can get it to a room...

I can't speak from experience as I do not own the LCD2 or 3, but I would think that the Audezes would benefit from the 2 different lucid modes' soundstage expansion. I am sure that they sound great on it, as that is the headphone used by steve to create the MK3 Taboo.

Yes, I really liked the Sabre sound with the HD800s. The Peachtree is a great value and offers optical in. I am sure there are better options, but it will be a long while before I go exploring.
