I would suggest testing with an iPhone or iPad as Roon endpoint. My ultraRendu and LPS have been disconnected since I have tried it... Some say the iPhone X is better (maybe due to the Oled screen?...)...

I seem to have a quite narrow ear canal entrance. The only tip that I am able to use with good results so far is the Comply Isolation, size S. But even so, I feel that I could use an even narrower tip. Anyone could please advise on that?

Regarding driving speakers from the TT2, I guess de Devore Fidelity O/93 or O/96 could potentially be great matches (budget not taken into consideration...)...

Before testing the ultraRendu (or microRendu), I would suggest testing an iPad (or iPhone) with iOS11 and Roon 1.5 app, and an Apple Lightning to USB interface (aka CCK)...

About the Roon DSP presets, I found it to hide a little bit of the most subtle details, but more importantly, I felt that it was removing a lot of the visceral impact* of the instruments, and so I prefer it "pure"... *For visceral impact I am using the definition from the Ultimate Demonstration...

For the HD800, I prefer my Resonessence Labs Invicta running in dual differential mode, to my Hugo. They sound "slow" to me, with the Hugo. I guess they need the extra power...

If frequency response was the only thing that mattered in headphones, I'm sure it will be possible to replicate the frequency response of high-end headphones for much less, but, I don't think they would be equivalent in anything else...
