the additional mic only works with idevice, the cable it self has no problem connected with other device. sorry, never try the mic quality.

i found my ws55 (cable mod) was more engaging than mdr1r, this baby surely lack even with bass gain 1 on my arrow 4g (gain 2 felt boomy).but i found it acceptable because of the good bass presentation.female vocal is good.. soundstage good... 3D feelings, separation good... detail not that...

absolutely normal.. new experience of course... try to adapt & enjoying the music presentation by ws99 then give us more impression, thx btw

seriously this baby need some burn in, 100 hours maybe. like i did to my ws55. about the ear cushion, did you find it comfortable? what size is the inner cushion? is it semi fullsized or on ear? did you experience any cracking sound when adjust the cans / moving your jaws? where did you bought...

burn in for 20hours++ ,i need more bass then switch on bass gain II on arrow 4g & WOW!!      i did try to close the air vent on the driver cups, then i got the ugly bass sound   female vocal = good.... sweet & tender   comfortable piece of stylish cans, feels sturdy,not experienced...

silver/black match pretty well in your picture, kinda like it i just decided to choose the silver/brown,made a pre order at the local sony's distributor & had to wait for a month untill the unit finally available hehe

50mm driver is suppose to be mentioning mdr-1rNC   i wonder how is this sony mdr-1r compare to upcoming ath-ws99  which is using 50mm driver bit regret it coz i just pre order mdr-1r before have a chance to read the ws99 review or hear the demo
