Need to see comparisons of the t800/600 and aq7. I still have an account credit from a bad set of t800s, and have been away from head fi for a year and a half. Any insights? For reference, im still rockin a sony zx300 and dunu dk4001 pros. Love em. But i do miss the t800 sometimes

Well, i am amazed and very happy to see this! I personally love the fit of ththe ex600/800/1000. So comfy for me. But, this makes me want to try one of these for sure. Great post, grear great post.

Just being honest, if its 500 im out. Ill just have them send another t800 out instead pf using the account credit towards the hybrid.

Oh gotcha, thats over my diy ability. I will say, im using the dunu noble cable that comes with the dk4001, with the mmcx adapters, and i dont miss those comfy ear guides yet.

May as well just reterminate the plug end to 2.5 or 4.4 whatever you want. Thatd be easier and has been done several times. Also, yes mine have paint chips as well.

Look at all the praise the moondrop blessing 2 has as well, at $319 or 350 w wood backs now. As far as size goes thats what i wassaying prior using the dunu 4001 as an example, its tiny, adding another 2 BA wouldnt take much change in size if at all.

The dunu noble cable with the flat mmcx adapters is a hit! Love it.

Cable rolling, trying this 4core 4.4mm full copper cable, an isn s4 spc cable, and the noble obviously. I am not a huge cable fellow, but small changes can be made ive heard it on my other in ears.

Got my cheap ass mmcx adapters and a super nice isn s4 cable 2 days ago. Time to cable roll the ex1k, want to see how the $400 dunu noble cable sounds( doubt ill notice a difference) but that cable has angled mmcx connectors so it will work better for comfort. The s4 cable is super soft but not...

That will surely be a concern, the t800 was probably my limit on size, it fit perfect for how big it is, but anything larger, i dunno. I will say, the dunu dk4001 is pretty small, with 4 ba and one larger dynamic, its not impossible to make hybrids smaller, just depends how they want to set it...
