I ordered the Momentums last week after a LOT of research.  I wish I saw your thread before as it would have made things much easier. Anyways it was worth it and mine should arrive tomorrow (along with a NXV EX10s!).

I don't know how I missed it...but I just realized the candy-like shape of the cables @__@   It seems....ehh....do any of you guys hate it?  I mean how are the cables/wires in person?  Does their candy-like shape stand-out?

Are there big differences between the Westone 4R and Westone 2 for example?  One review on amazon compares the 4 and the 2 and the guy actually says the 4R is not worth the price at all while the Westone 2 is totally worth it.

I actually did more research yesterday and the HF-5 always came up every now and then  I got really interested in it until a youtube video said that the headphones are super uncomfortable due to how steep they go into the ear canal.  Any comments/thoughts on this?

No I'm fine with IEMs.  It's just some of the replies here have been suggesting IEMs with a steep price ($300+) which I just don't see justifiable for IEMs.  Unless if they are fantastic and would make it useless to have a QC15 or any other sort of on-ear noise-cancelling/isolating headphone.

No my ears were fine when I tried the Bose.  While as the Shure would just 'attach' strongly to your head right after you put them on.  At that point, really screw sound quality if they're not comfortable.

Ok thanks for the replies so far! :)   I know this forum and audiophiles in general are not fond of Bose.  The only reason I'm considering Bose is because I will be moving to residence in my first year and there is a good chance that my rommates in the apartment will be wild party animals...

Price-nothing ridiculous.  I'm not paying more than 250 (I will also have to buy a BOSE QC 15 before school starts).  As for music, a whole variety of different genres with vocal and non-vocal.  So I would guess something 'neutral'?  I have been looking at the NVX EX10s so far.
