why? it already comes with its a proprietary, excellent, separated LPS! or... yours came without? but congratulations: that one was my first Metrum DAC and I never moved away from the brand afterwards :-)

the Adagio already is amongst the best DACs out there DAC3 modules will give you an even better Adagio marginal? yes, past a given point... everything is just marginal and every *little* step is increasingly expensive a completely different "sound signature" (which is not the case with DAC3s)...

you're coming very late at the party! (and also thank Brexit :stuck_out_tongue:) paid 4k (€) for my Adagio, when I bought it (they took back my Hex for a 1.5k value) and 1.2k for DAC3 modules (first three months after release price was 200€ each + 50€ cashback for DAC2 modules)

plenty of brands releasing "new" products every six months out there: just pick one

yes: I've only seen 12/15v in dual outputs P8 configurations. mine is single output

hi just bought a (very slightly) used P8 *single* something weird, though: it's a 12/15v unit and... I've never seen offered/mentioned anywhere this configuration :thinking: just curious as it is working fine powering my Cirrus7 (Roon ROCK)

updating my Adagio wasn't cheap but... definitely worth it! :relaxed:

let it run 24/7 for three weeks (this is what Metrum recommends as burn-in) then... come back to report

it is made and sold by Pathos (among other colour variants) not always available though: ask your dealer or Pathos directly when you're ready

you don't (except the very first time) if you only have one component but if you have, eg, an M400 and an SP400... you must press, first, B or C to control the corresponding device using just one remote

I would have thought the DP5 was controlled by "A" as... reading the user manuals (I didn't before asking here :blush:) M400 is "B" and "SP400" is "C"

guys... please... just got an M400 and connected it to my SP400 only issue I have is... is there a way to use just one remote for both? (turn ON/OFF both and adjust SP400 volume is all I need) I tried pressing "C" when M400 only was ON and... now the remote (SP400's one) only works with the DAC...

just asked about this and... Cees replied: "New Adagio is exactly the same as there is no output stage at all. Dacs are connected directly to the connectors. The Lundahl is removed in Year 2017 and was in use for the RCA output only"

has anyone tried using a non stock PS with this amp? I tried various: switching, linear, regulated, non regulated but... all I get with those is silence or just some vary faint distorted sound when I turn volume to max :-/ all of the PSs I tried do, obviously, meet original's specs and all of...

available versions are: - silver - black - silver/black accents (volume knob + push-buttons) - black/silver accents there also are black/red accents and I believe silver/red accents versions if you search on Google images you can see all of them :wink:

yes: it has a gain dial on the back (... and a *light* balance one too) also has both XLR and SE passthrough :)
