Wireless video and audio from computer.

I used this to stream Tivo and it worked pretty good. It only works with HDMI though.   http://www.amazon.com/Actiontec-Wireless-WiFi-Multi-Room-Video/dp/B005L9ZZ32/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1346055769&sr=8-6&keywords=wireless+hdmi

PC360 vs Q701 for PC games

Hi,    I currently have the Sennheiser PC360s and my sound card is a Xonar Phoebus. My PC360s are good for games but I have also heard that the Q701s are good because of the larger sound stage. I have found very few comparisons between the two so my question is whether or not I will notice a...

Question about using Astro Mixamp with Xonar Phoebus and PC360

From what I understand, Dolby Digital live is compressed while analog is not. That's why I have analog running to my mixamp instead of SPDIF. I do have a pair of A50s and they are connected to the SPDIF and my xbox since they don't support analog connections.

Question about using Astro Mixamp with Xonar Phoebus and PC360

I finally got around to testing the 5V line and I can confirm that it isn't giving off any power. That would explain why I couldn't get the SPDIF bracket to work. Also, I found out that with the 7.1 headset, the side speakers are matrixed since most games don't even support 7.1. I unplugged...

Question about internal SPDIF header on Asus sound card

Quote:   Good observation. The Phoebus does have the necessary 3 pins but it never dawned on me that it may not be sending the proper 5V. I will get my meter out later and test this. Quote:   Well actually, we have a Razer Tiamat 7.1 headset hooked up to the sound card. My wife...

Question about internal SPDIF header on Asus sound card

Lol it's funny that you mentioned the DX. I had the DX for about 6 months and it never gave me any problems. I "upgraded" to the Phoebus because it had a headphone amp and a few extra features that seemed cool. I have had nothing but problems for the past couple days with this sound card and it...

Question about internal SPDIF header on Asus sound card

Well I have a pair of Astro A50s that will only connect to SPDIF. I prefer to wear these at night since it's easier to get to my son when he wakes up. I wouldn't mind switching the plugs but due to the way my setup is, I have to crawl in the back to change the plugs. My onboard realtek does have...

Question about internal SPDIF header on Asus sound card

Thanks for responding. I tried it with the side speaker plugged in and out and I got the same result. When I looked at the back of my case, I saw the red light coming out of the sound card spdif and not the bracket spdif that I installed. I also made sure that spdif was selected in windows and...

Question about internal SPDIF header on Asus sound card

Hello,   My current sound card is a Asus Xonar Phoebus. The external optical SPDIF port is shared with a rear speaker port meaning that I will have to switch wires when going back and forth between the two. I noticed that the sound card has an internal SPDIF header so I purchased a SPDIF...

Question about using Astro Mixamp with Xonar Phoebus and PC360

I guess I could but then I wouldn't be able to use a lot of the cool features of the Phoebus since the Mixamp would be doing all the decoding.

Question about using Astro Mixamp with Xonar Phoebus and PC360

Hello,   I registered here because I was told that someone here should be able to help me. I will try my best to explain my setup so my question doesn't sound confusing. At my desk, I have 2 computers. One is a dedicated gaming PC and the other is a low power media pc that is only used for...
