I am using Shure yellow foamies (been using it since my Atrio's) on the UM3X and sound very good like the fitting and isolation.

Hi, the E5 amp has very minor benefits to the UM3X as in my experience so to me it is not necessary unless you have high end amp. Will try with my beyer amp when I'm back home currently away till weekend

I have picked up iPhone 3GS 16gb yesterday and compared with my iPod Touch 2G with 2.2.1 FW, I still prefer the 2G sound over the 3GS.
