Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Got to demo the Sony WF-1000XM5 today in the airport of all places, though the manager seemed ticked off I didn’t buy on the spot (shouldn’t have a big ol “try these” sign then lol). My only point of reference is the Denon PerL Pro at the moment. In short: super comfortable, easy seal...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

These look so freakin cool I’d be willing to give Noble another chance. Just worried they didn’t mention any improvements to low end extension which is what I always found less than ideal.

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Ordered some off Ebay and lemme tell ya, you saved the experience for me. PerL should have shipped with these tips. Can finally run with them with minimal adjustments, decently easy to seat, virtually eliminated the pain from the wing and the case closes fully. I feel like there’s a tiny tiny...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Long update + sorta review. Tl:dr at bottom So I got the Spinfit W1 for my Denon Perl Pros and it ended up saving the experience for me. They are now usable while running, although still finicky. Case does not close fully, but very fortunately they are still able to charge. Hasn’t been an issue...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Thank you, I think I’ll go for the W1 then since it has a slightly larger inner diameter. Measuring calipers may come in handy for spacing it apart now that I think about it. You guys are the best!

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I saw the Spinfit 360 recommended for the PerL Pro, but it seems like the W1 would be a better fit since it’s designed for larger buds. On a related note I have some leftover Spinfits (unknown model) that I could squeeze on the PerL nozzle. Was it difficult to put on the 360 or do I just have...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

So I ended up with the Denon Perl Pro. Been struggling with fit, especially when running. Will explore suggestions I remember reading somewhere in this thread.

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Do report back! I have my doubts about their sound outside of gaming, but the large graphene driver and uniquely cool aesthetic has piqued my interest

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

That was my exact same setup, and while I don’t have high end wired iems to compare there are two things that come to mind. Have you EQ’d the Mystiques at all? By applying a W-shaped eq I found the clarity and soundstage to be substantially improved, out of the box they sound dark and muffled to...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

This is a pretty in depth review on the PerL and comparison to the NTPs:

Thanks a mil, that all but settles it. So many different sources calling the NTP “speaker-like” has got me intrigued

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Thank you, all of your information is incredibly helpful. How does the subbass of the NTP compare to the Svanar? Is it really that unique or mostly a difference in quantity? Like I mentioned in my Noble comparison I’m a big fan of physicality/attack

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

So I’m really down to either Denon PerL Pro or Svanar Wireless. Leaning towards PerL to experience the magical bass everyone seems to agree on, plus a more practical design and saving a few bones while I’m at it. Maybe get the Svanar on sale in the future

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

For anyone curious about Noble Fokus Pro vs Mystique, I found the Mystique to have a much improved soundstage, although still limited to left and right as opposed to 360. Imaging and separation moderately improved. Fit was decent but not perfect for me. Charging case has small but effective...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I had two Mystiques, the first had a minor cosmetic issue and the second had both cosmetic and audio balance issues. Each of my previous 3 pairs of Nobles have had technical issues before and after the warranty period. They do sound excellent but I was tired of the issues, especially with these...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Not a ground-up app obviously, but there’s any number of white-label solutions for a basic eq. Considering Hifiman has other wireless iems it seems like a worthwhile investment

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Lots of great options now, I’m torn between: - Svanar Wireless (would have bought already if it had an app with eq)* - Status Between 3ANC - Final ZE8000 -Denon PerL/Nuratrue Pro For the last few years I’ve been buying only Noble for tws, and while I love the sound after EQ they have each...

Eh, that’s what I was afraid of. Thanks for the Radsone recommendation, I’ll look into that. Also considering the Sony’s

    True wireless IEM recommendations?

So I’ve been very much enjoying my wired Audio Technica E70 IEMs and Beyerdynamic/Astell&Kern T5p but I’m getting jealous of the people who aren’t fiddling with wires all the time. Does anyone know of a true wireless IEM that sounds anywhere close to the E70 (or T5p)? I’m not worried about...

    New Beyerdynamic T5p 2nd generation

Happened to me too, after playing with the angle and forward/backward position on my head I was able to resolve it. If that doesn’t work, try extending the cups further down and then “scooping” your ear up as you cinch it down to the correct length.

Audio Technica ATH-E70, ATH-E50, ATH-E40 IEMs announced at NAMM 2016

I got that cable in silver while back to replace the boring black cable my used E70 came with. It looks nice, did not noticeably change the sound, and seems to be durable. However, it has pretty bad cable noise. You really here all of the sounds of a wire, like when a a bridge flexes and the...

    Ultrasone Signature DXP

Lol the problem is that there is no such thing as a “signature pro dj”. There is an Ultrasone Signature Pro, and an Ultrasone Signature DJ (and now the Ultrasone Signature DXP).

Audeze Mobius Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV

It would work fine/the same as headtracking on aux or BT. The problem with consoles is that there is no way to get 5.1/7.1 with headtracking unless the dsp is double stacked with the Mixamp/X7 etc. That’s pretty much the only reason I’m likely to pass on these till later. Well that and I...

Audeze Mobius Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV

Thanks @KMann, that answered my questions to the T. It seems the Mobius should still offer quite a bit of value to me even if I can’t quite the “full” 5.1/7.1 surround with headtracking on console (yet), as I’ve been wanting to try an Audeze for as long as I’ve known about them. I know this may...

Audeze Mobius Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV

I’m impressed by the responsiveness of the Audeze team to our deluge of questions, but all the info has left my head swirling. I’ve read through all 44 pages at once and still am not sure what to expect with regards to gaming on a PS4. It would be extremely helpful to me and many others if...
