Thank you. That encapsulates what I was trying to articulate while my Arya V3 is burning in. It’s not that the sound stage is so vast. It’s that every sound and every instrument is identifiable.

Indeed welcome, and let me add that the improved power supply yielded good results for some; I didn't hear any noticeable improvement. Then again, my 40+ year old ears were never golden and are rapidly approcahing the brass/tin boundary :)

  Personally, I use Centrance DACport LX (the version w/o the amp) with my Koss (at work) and I don't feel fatigue at all. I think the LX is an excellent overall DAC, although it is certainly north of $100 ($250 list, althoughI have seen it for around 200).

I envy your ears; under normal listening conditions I have trouble with 128 AAC. Then again, normal listening conditions means the kids are around and the furnace is runing (the furnace is right next to my study). Perhaps in the summer, when it's quieter :)

I don't think so, and why should there be? Dr. Meier is a pleasure to deal with and I'd rather he get all of the money then either some of it going to a middleman or his having to raise his (very reasonable) prices to break even. :)

Or you could do what I did, and fulfill your audiofoolery by adding a Classic to your Jazz. Jazz at work , Classic at home (not risking the Classic at work!).   :)

I've been listening to mine exclusively through a DACport LX. One of these days, I should bring it home and feed it from the Meier Daccord and see if I notice a difference.
