Joining Team "Baby Orpheus"! [56k beware]

I haven't heard of the m-audiophile, but these headphones really do benefit from a better source. Coming from an emu 0404/dac-ah, my E5 and dac1 sound so much better that I pretty much switched to cd listening now. Edit: Personally, I wouldn't worry about upgrading at the moment. It seems...

Congratulations! They are the best pair of headphones I've heard so far, and the stax amps make them sound even better. Thanks for your impressions!

    Ironlung Jellyfish Power Cords

Yes, that makes perfect sense. I just swapped out both jellyfish cords and definitely prefer the sound as it is less fatiguing to my ears. I'm just glad they were pretty cheap to test out. I will give them another shot when I have more time to do some more critical listening. Thanks again...

    Ironlung Jellyfish Power Cords

Mike, Both power cords were purchased new. One was connected to my stax 007t and one was connected to the E5. I took one away from the 007t and replaced it with the stock power cord and it definitely smoothened out the highs. I will try it with just the E5. Have you noticed any difference in...

    Ironlung Jellyfish Power Cords

Do these cords settle down after burn-in? I tried a couple of them in my rig and it made my system very bright and sibilant compared to my stock cables. If so, what's the best way to burn-in a power cord? Just leave it connected to a powered-on source?

    The Stax thread (New)

Hey guys, I just received my HE60-> STAX cable. I'm really liking what i'm hearing from the 007t and SRM-1/MK-2! I really need to call-in sick tomorrow.

Who else had Hotmail make you beta-tester?

I switched back too. I didn't like it much. Also, you don't have to take the survey to switch back. Just click the Switch back button, there is an option to "not take the survey" Just click it and you're back to normal.

Esound E5 in a form of a DAC

Omer, I have recently acquired both the E5 and the DAC1. Personally, I prefer the E5 to the DAC1 right now for my stat rig. I tried using the E5 as a transport for the DAC1, but still prefer the E5 straight to my amp. They are very similar as I had trouble at first picking up the differences...

    HE60 to Stax Adapter Owners

I just received my HE60 to STAX cable, but am having difficulties connecting the two. It seems that my HE60 connecter is too big to fit into the HE60 adapter that was made for me. Am I missing something? Can the tip of my HE60 connector be pulled off in order for me to insert it into the...

    The Stax thread (New)

Nice, new stax material to read. I have a 007t on the way from a awesome head-fier, but still no adapter to use. It should be fun comparing my new amps when it's finally completed. I wonder how the srm-1/mk-2 will hold up against the 007t. Edit: Maybe I should just order a pair of stax...
