which phones are recommended for iem and low impedance headphones?

Question: i see in the gsmarena reviews, they always mention sound quality when an external amp is connected, and also when headphones are connected. But since most new smartphones don't have a headphine jack, what is it then that is being tested - the dac and amp in the usb dongle??

I am familiar with that aptX list, you can notice many phones are not showing up there. Anyway, thanx :) So the LG G7 will have the quad dac as was announced today...too bad the battery is so small :S

Are you saying that aptX comes built into some Snapdragon models? Because i gathered that having any specific Snapdragon doesn't guarantee also having aptX. Also, on the spec pages of gsmarena, aptX is mentioned only rarely. I would be very interested in reading your review of the honor 10...

Problem with most of these phones is they don't suppot aptX. I'm waiting to hear about the Honor 10. Could the latest Meizu 15 support aptX?

The newly anouned Honor 10 phone should employ an AK4376A DAC (And a 3.5mm jack obviously), Should this mean anything positive?
