I like both versions, just different. The 24/96 seems a bit better resolution, a tad more air, but not as ballsy in the low end as the '63 version.

Burn-in is not a phenomena just with headphones, but is often the case with speakers and electronic components as well. 

Just wondering if anyone has used the K701s with this amp. On paper, it looks like it might be a decent match.   I'd appreciate any subjective input you may have. 

Listening to Joe Jackson "Friday" now, right after Peter Gabriel "Shaking the Tree". I'm having no probs with the K701's bass.    Earlier was checking out Phillips Classics Haydn cello concertos in C (H. VIIb No. 1), and in D (Op. 101). Sounded like fine strings to me.
