Denon AH-NC800 Cable Upgrades??
Quote: Thanks. I just checked out vmoda and they're sold out of replacement cables with a mic. Will any mic cable work on these phones? I know that the B&W P5 and the Bose NC15s also have mic cables. -
The Deals Thread (CLOSED! See the last post for the link to the new thread)
If anyone is interested, EE is also discounting the Denon AH-NC800. Imho, these sound better than the Bose NC phones and end up costing $173.01. I live in NJ, so that added $12.11. I figure that's pretty good considering these are selling for $299 just about everywhere else.- skcheng

fiio e17 for ipod
Quote: Okay, thanks. I appreciate your patience with my newbie questions. So far I've purchased the newly discontinued Denon AH-NC800 phones. And I think I'll be getting a pair of Beyer DT1350s. After that I'd like something a little more high end for home/computer...- skcheng

Fiio E7 vs Fiio E17
Quote: Thanks for this post. Pretty much sums everything up. Now add in the mix that I purchased the E9, so I have the following: E7, E9, E17......all of which should arrive by the end of this week. Is there a particular combination of things that I could try that might...- skcheng

fiio e17 for ipod
Quote: Okay, thanks for clearing much of this up for me. I somehow thought that the FiiO LOD connector would allow me to use the E17 as a DAC with the iPhone. I also just purchased an E7 for very little of the B/S forum so that I can use one at work. So what is the best...- skcheng

Denon AH-NC800 Cable Upgrades??
I searched mini-mini upgrades and didn't come up with much. I just purchased the Denon NC phones and they're really nice. The supplied cords (two fairly short ones) are fairly thin and not very rugged. Basically a one-sided 3.5mm to 3.5mm thin cord with gold plated pins. I...- skcheng

FiiO E17 "ALPEN" - First Impression + Final Thought
Quote: I just checked and the ebay seller I purchased from is still holding at $139 with free shipping. Not sure if it's okay to post ebay links here, but a simple search will work. So maybe the retail pricing on this unit will be closer to $199?- skcheng

Is the Fiio E9/E17 combo best for me?
I also would like some advice on the E17, E9 combo. I recently picked up both and I was hoping to use them with both my PC setup and my MacBook/iPhone. I guess before purchasing, I should have researched more to realize that the E17 Dac does not override idevices. So I'm also...- skcheng

FiiO E17 "ALPEN" - First Impression + Final Thought
I would also know if there is a "better" headphone to work with FiiO E17 and E9. I purchased both of these amps first and I figured I would look into phones second. So far I've picked up the Denon AH-NC800 phones on clearance over at the Expo. Great price at $200 NIB since they're...- skcheng

fiio e17 for ipod
Quote: So now I'm confused. I purchased both the E17 and the E9 to use with both my iPhone and the MacBook. So when paired together, they're both solely amplifying the signal? Thanks for clearing this up. skc- skcheng
