Audeze LCD-3 vs Fostex TH-900?
Quote: I agree, th900 is a headphone that only looks like it's closed, its other sound characteristics are just like other open headphones.- williamqh

Fostex TH900 Impressions & Discussion Thread
Quote: I've only posted 1 comments here, how's that inconsistent? Different people can have different feeling at different time about the same thing/people. It's just a matter of taste. For me, no way I'm going back to HD800.- williamqh

Fostex TH900 Impressions & Discussion Thread
I've owned an HD800, while it is very airy, I prefer th900's sound, as it isolates out some noise of outside world, making the background black. Soundstage wise, I don't think th900 is inferior compare to HD800, just a different presentation, for me, th900's presentation is more 3D.- williamqh

iBasso/MiniAudio REALLY need to improve your after-sales service!
I think send direct email to them would be a better way for getting your issues solved, they usually reply my emails within 2 hours, which I think is pretty amazing.- williamqh

Beyerdynamic T90 Discussion and Support Thread
Quote: I guess 2 days of burn-in time is far from enough, as this was the case with my T5p, when I initially got my T5p, I was extremely disappointed, empty, harsh, overly bright, after about 3 weeks of 24*7 burn-in time, it improved a lot, almost a different phone.- williamqh

Review: Spiral Ear SE 5-way Reference - A new level of resolution? (Review posted 5/15/12)
Quote: Thanks for your first impressions, I'm sure they will improve after the burn-in process. Also, I tried setting the low gain on the DX100 for driving the Miracles last night, seemed more detailed than mid or high gain. I thought higher gain = better, I was wrong.- williamqh

Review: Spiral Ear SE 5-way Reference - A new level of resolution? (Review posted 5/15/12)
Quote: Yeah, it's interesting to see people describe same property with opposite adjectives. Recently I bought a Beyerdynamic t5p because in the chinese forum "erji", a reputable member described the t5p and dx100 are best partners, after hearing the combo, now I think my Miracles...- williamqh

Joe, Do you have any plan getting a UM Miracle? I'd love to see you getting a pair of UM Miracle and compare it to the SE 5-way, I am seriously considering getting the 5-way.- williamqh

Will customs be enough to give up full sized?
I have both UM Miracle and Bayerdynamic t5p, soundstage wise t5p has greater depth and t5p is better in clarity but UM miracle has more bass quantity and feels smoother on vocals. Both have their own strengths, however, one thing to keep in mind is that t5p is much more expensive than the UM...- williamqh
