Vali vs O2
I have dt880 250 and both the O2 and the Vali. With the 880's, I prefer the sound of the vali.- jd4091

Battle Of The Flagships (58 Headphones Compared)
This review will surely serve as a reference for some time to come. All the superlatives are used up, but an incredible, extraordinary effort David. Nice to hear your high opinion of the HD600. I like them a lot myself. Again, man, great job and thanks.- jd4091

FINALLY, the grado sr325is have arrived! (first impression review)
Have had my sr325is for short time. Maybe 25 hours on them. Very, very impressed. A significant step up from the sr60i and the sr80i (either I would recommend without reservation). If there is a criticism on the 325is, it's that it's very revealing on poor recordings. Which is, in fact, not a...- jd4091

Grado sr60i?
Recently replaced my 8 year old SR60's with new SR60i's. I have more expensive headphones/amps and do enjoy them but it's always a unique treat to plug the SR60i's straight into a good portable player and be amazed at the bang for the buck sound. $79 well spent.- jd4091

Sennheiser HD 600 with FiiO e7 + e9 combo.
E9 supplies plenty of power to my HD600s. Bang for the buck, E9 is very good.- jd4091

I'm buying the Fiio e7/e9 dac+amp combo. Should I upgrade my Sennheiser HD 598 to the Sennheiser HD 650?
Quote: x2 The E9 (no E7) drives my HD600s with plenty of muscle. And for that matter it takes my Beyer DT880s (250) to a new level. $130 very well spent.- jd4091

Amp recommendation for a basshead's HFI 580s?
In my experience, (I'm listening with my HD580s through an ipod classic 80gb and a total bithead as I type), The ipod alone drives the HD580s to an acceptable level, but the ipod volume is nearly maxed out. The Total Bithead improves things quite a bit. Plenty of power to drive the 580's. I'm...- jd4091

Marshmallows or the KSC75s??
I've heard them both. Marshmallows (with the right fit) have more low end impact. KSC75's more open and brighter. Where I use them - in a noisy gym - the marshmallows are my choice.- jd4091
