Grado Fan Club!
I have had somewhat of a Grado journey over the years. It began with the first HF1. I felt that it was a little congested. Then the 325 ( Goldies), great "live" presentation but ultimately too intense/aggressive. Then the Rs2, which is my favourite Grado so far. I was caught up in the hype of...- coco

Westone UM3X Thread
Thanks, my friend. I think it will be the UM3X then. I just found the HF-2 a bit on the dark side, a little flat sounding compared to the RS-2. For me, there was a crispness in the presentation that just wasn't there in the HF-2. I am looking for a higher end iem that brings this back without...- coco

Head-Fi / Audiophile Clichés
The one I always get a chuckle about how some amps/cables etc, etc are totally transparent. If it truly is transparent then, by definition, you can't tell it is there. "wow...listen to that improved transparency!"- coco

HF-2!!!
Mine arrived yesterday, definitely Head-F1 and a little on the blurry side but... they sound good, very good. I am going from the RS-2 to these. I find the bass goes a little deeper and there is a little more texture in the sound. I would describe these as a warmer 325i while maintaining that...- coco

um1's too loud
I have already tried the volume limit setting on the ipod, unfortunately it limits the upper end not the minimum volume. I am hoping adding a p>s cable to my headphones will help with the OP, and my, problem. I can't get the volume of my iems low enough to allow me to fall asleep with them on...- coco

GRADEO EXTENSION CABLE
Yeh, the 1/4 plug is kind of a hassle for anything semi-portable. Grado also makes an 1/4 to 1/8 adapter as do a number of companies. The grado one is good, though, as it has a small length of cable between the female and male to take the potential stress off the otherwise long plug/adapter...- coco

The Grado HF2--It's For Real
I have ordered the HF-2s and have read most of this thread. I am disappointed that there has been too much argument over price and not enough speculation about what they will be like. Tsk tsk. I owned the HF-1s the first time around but, truthfully wasn't that impressed. I think this was mostly...- coco

HF-2!!!
I haven't seen this asked anywhere, although I think I probably already know the answer. Does anyone know if the HF-2 comes with a 1/8 adapter?- coco

Specific Recommendation
I can comment there. I have owned both the 325i (goldies) and currently have the RS-2, buttonless version. I did find the 325i to be a little too hot on the treble, fixed with flat pads, but the most annoying thing was the weight of the phones. It was impossible for me use them without the...- coco

alessandro ms2 questions
Congratulations on a great headphone. I mean a great choice of headphone, as the pair you have sounds like a lemon. It is definitely not normal that a channel would be out at anytime. Sounds like a loose connection which will only lead to heartbreak later on. Call Alessandro. Good luck. Oh, and...- coco

Scammed? (Resolved!)
It is great to be trusting but... Open a PayPal dispute now. This does not cancel your deal but makes the seller aware that you serious. Any good seller will understand your impatience, only a scammer or a fool would have a problem with your action, neither of which you probably want to deal...- coco

Chinese Head-Fiers, please help.
Hey Gang, I am pursuing a small business proposition with a man who claims to be from a Chinese toy manufacturer.
