Schiit Gungnir DAC
Has anyone with a Gungnir also had experience with the Stello DA100? Im currently using that with the mjolnir/lcd2's and was interested in personal experience with both. Cheers..- alexcs

I thought I would contribute to this thread as Ive been using a Singlepower MPX3 Slam for the past 6 or so years happily but have just taken possession of a Mjolnir and noticed there were not really any comparisons on Headfi. Ive only had it for a day or so however its already blowing me...- alexcs

The Audeze LCD-2 Ortho thread (New)
Im getting that impression, really enjoying these now. For people who have used Singlepower amps with these or similar, would there be any advantage to getting an amp like the lyr or would I not notice a great deal of difference? Would aftermarket cables like the Q make much difference with my...- alexcs

The Audeze LCD-2 Ortho thread (New)
Well after about 5 years of being content with tube rolling an MPX3 slam and using HD600's I thought I would find out what all the fuss was about. Only got them yesterday and they are certainly fun, however having been used to a HD600 for so long I find they are quite different, and seem to be a...- alexcs

Foobar 2000 question
Quote: There is actually no reason to rip like that, if setup correctly EAC will rip to FLAC and make an accompanying cue file that when used by a program to burn, will convert everything back bit perfect to wav and then burn it. http://blowfish.be/eac this is a wonderful...- alexcs

WA2 purchase; upgrades worth the $$$?
ive used a stepped attenuator in my MPX3 for the last four years, its fine for headphones, but using it as a preamp might not offer the fine tuning required. i always found the lowest volume step was a bit too loud for very quiet listening with speakers, but that may have everything to do with...- alexcs

WA2 purchase; upgrades worth the $$$?
This is what I'm weighing up at the moment. Once you throw in all the upgrades you aren't far from a WA22. So even if you aren't wanting a balanced setup straight away, you might as well go for it as it has a SE output right? Anyone want to weigh in with personal experience of the WA2, WA2 maxed...- alexcs

Well My MPX3 SLAM Just Died - Replacement?
Hmm ok. I think at this point I'm looking at either the WA2 and keeping all of my current gear, or heading towards a balanced setup with the WA-22. The WA2 is cheaper, but once you max it out its not far off the WA-22. I dont know if i can go back to SS, your review of the Concerto was...- alexcs

Well My MPX3 SLAM Just Died - Replacement?
hmmm thanks for the heads up skylab. at this point im not sure its worth even bothering, id be more comfortable going for a new amp, ive had a good run out of it. if i could ask you a couple of questions skylab, the WA-2 looks very good, ive also always admired the zana deux. now i know the EC...- alexcs

Well My MPX3 SLAM Just Died - Replacement?
Oh thanks for the replies guys. I'm just concerned the cost of repair would outweigh just getting a replacement. Additionally Ive just noticed that with the headphone plug half in (using different headphones) I get sound out of both channels (albeit tinny), its only when its all the way in...- alexcs

Well My MPX3 SLAM Just Died - Replacement?
Apologies if this is a common thread topic considering the history of Singlepower :P I've had an MPX3 Slam for 4+ years running via a Stello DA100 and its been wonderful but the right channel has just died and between the cost of repair and living in Australia I'm not sure its worth...- alexcs
