although not an Audeze fan per se here, I have to say that I really liked LCD3 when I heard it on the Stratus. Anyone looking for a tube amp for the 3 or 2 should def give the Stratus some serious thought and/or listen     Glad you are still liking you Stratus Froger!

Thanks! the tube/SS sound quality is what intrigues. I am really not that interested in looks, if sound reproduction is great! A new S40 costs what some First Watts cost, but packs more power. I am really intrigued by these amps.

Anyone ever hear Clayton amps? How about something like this: http://www.triaudio.com/s40.html. Sound characteristic description seem similar First Watt amps, but with more WPC. 

I would not worry about the "honey moon" ending. I had my Sonett for years and still love it and listen to it. And this is after buying other more expensive amps. Also it's only Sonett mk1.

thanks man. The cost really is a tough barrier when it gets that high.  how would you say their integrated compares to your First Watt? Even if you did not do side by side, I'd be interested in any impressions, understanding all the normal caveats.
