Audiologist in Paris for custom molds on XBA-H3
Hi, I was wondering if anyone would happen to have someone to recommend in Paris for a pair of custom molds / sleeves on XBA-H3. ACS seem to have people, but Sony isn't listed as something their design supports.- mattbr

hidden sugden headmaster feature...
i'm not sure wether this belongs in the amp or the source section, but the sugden remote also controls naim CDP's... the only thing that's lacking is "display" key support, which toggles between track number and time display... (and yes, i know i should probably be using the naim headline...)- mattbr

My Headmaster hums, does yours?
have you tried equalizing the masses between the components by taking some cable (cinch works fine...) and touching a conductive part of each while keeping one tip in contact with the sugden's frame ? (this solved my initial sugden humming problem...)- mattbr

Recommendations for good but small system?
another, although possibly more expensive possibility, may be audionote's zero series, which i believe haven't been suggested yet... and since you haven't defined the value of X for your equation yet... you'll find more info and product shots here .- mattbr

the never-ending i need a source thread
picked up my headmaster today. it got lost in the mail on its way to my friendly neighbourhood dope-pusher. took some time to listen to some sources as well. i'm a bit torn between getting a naim cd5, new, or a cdx, used, for an extra 10% and the risk of trusting an audiogon-er with no track...- mattbr

Small footprint CD Players

Transportable cd players
there was a thread you might want to check out here , as the subject matter is pretty similar... i'd like to add the flatfish or the shigaraki from 47 labs... haven't heard either, but the looks just make me drool... wonder if the pi tracer would fit the bill, as well...- mattbr

headphone (pre)/amp
hi all... i'm a newbie here, to the general world of hi-fi, and i'm trying to get around to what the worthwile kit is... i've been offered some nice rebates on job gear (www.jobsys.com), and am looking at buying what is basically toned-down goldmund kit. none of their amps, or pre's, comes...- mattbr
