Anyone hear about Yamamoto HA-03 ?
Quote: 35-17.5KHZ is for the speaker output. Which is slightly better than HA-02. Headphone output should have better specs. One thing I like about HA-03 from what I read is the multi-voltage power supply. 100-120V, and 220-240 are all supported.- geared2play

New STAX 4040 user needs help!
Quote: I like everything except the need to manually adjust tube bias every 3 months. The 4040 is definitely mid-oriented, not a whole a lot of extension on the high end and lack bass quantity, but the mid range is very good, revealing and smooth.I sold mine because the lack of good source...- geared2play

NEW: Audio-Technica ATH-ESW11LTD
ESW11LTD is actually quite different from ESW9. Coloring scheme they look alike. But ESW11LTD uses the 53mm driver that ES10 uses, and the head band is actually from ES10 as well. This could be a warmer sound ES10. Amazon pre-order price is already down 49800, I would expect the price to...- geared2play

New STAX 4040 user needs help!
Hi, guys I just bought an used STAX 4040 system with the older 006t amp. However, it is the Japanese version so I have to use a step-down transformer. Running through some older posts, I saw something regarding adjusting voltages on older STAX amps using jumpers. I opened up my unit...- geared2play

Oyaide Cables?
Quote: Nope, but the cable is heavy enough to hang on to your er. -
Oyaide Cables?
I gotta say the Oyaide cable is very well made. Compare to the stock TF10 cable, the Oyaide cable is thicker and tougher. The chromed metal 3.5mm plug and harden plastic earplug pins scream quality. The cable bring minor change to the TF10's sound signature. It brings more weight to the... -
Oyaide Cables?
Finally received the cable, took almost two weeks, most of the time in the US customs... So here is some pictures! -
Oyaide Cables?
I just order the UE variant from Amazon.co.jp using importing service. Price is about $80 for the cable and $20 importing service fee. They should arrive in a week. I will share my impression when I receive it. -

Think I need a new DAP?
Quote: J3 should be the better of the two, it better be because it cost 4 times more. J3 has a well-balanced sound with good quality. The only downside is that it does not have a line out, which means J3 can't used amps. While Sansa clip might be a good choice for its price, I would...- geared2play
