Amping HD650's
I recently purchased HD650's and a Maverick Tubemagic D1 with full upgrades. Will this be enough to drive these cans, I have heard alot about how hard they are to drive.- Andrew1526

Which output would I plug my headphones into to have them have the sound of the tube and the DAC's? I've heard too plug it into the line out from a friend, but I feel like that may not be right.- Andrew1526

Do I need a dedicated sound card?
What do you mean by headphone surround sound. You mean sound beyond what audio producers intended? Like extra processing of the sound?- Andrew1526

Do I need a dedicated sound card?
I plan on now doing audio out of my computers integrated optic SPDIF out. I have a ASUS Crosshair IV Formula AM3 AMD 890FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard, so that is the output I will be running to a Maverick Audio TubeMagic D1 DAC w/ OPA627 OpAmp & GE 5670 Tube, and from there to my...- Andrew1526

HD650 Setup to be!
My budget is around 300 dollars for an amp if I need a separate one. I would love for it to have an optic input.- Andrew1526

HD650 Setup to be!
So, I am planning on getting HD650's very soon. My current setup is a Maverick Audio Tubemagic D1 DAC with an OPA 627 Opamp and a GE5670 tube. I've read in a lot of places these headphones are hard to drive if you want them to sound right, and I don't want to spend 500 dollars and find out my...- Andrew1526

HD600's, K702's, DT880's.
Should I instead of any of these get the HD650's? They sound abit more to my liking, but how do they compare to the others. I have a PA2V2 portable amp, and a Maverick Tubemagic D1 DAC- Andrew1526

Well, other than the cable not being removable how do the BT880's shape up in comparison to the Q701's?- Andrew1526

HD600's, K702's, DT880's.
I can't decide which of these three headphones to get. I want something with a removable cable. I listen to indie rock to metal, smooth jazz to folk and newage folk. Not a whole lot of classical. I want something with a nice controlled and full sound, with a giant soundstage and accurate sound...- Andrew1526

Audio Technica, ATH EW9's
I'm talking bike rides, walks, when I'm wiring sound systems in the theater, hanging lights, taking a test (At low volume). No heavy machinery or crowds around.- Andrew1526

Audio Technica, ATH EW9's
Yeah. I'm torn between the descision, though I'm leaning towards the Audio Technicas because they are what I actually need. I have a decent pair of full sized headphones. I can hold over with them until I get some more money for the Sennheisers. I really just need some headphones I can wear...- Andrew1526

Alright, thanks man. I would get earbuds, but I'm more into on ear or over ear. Earbuds just feel wierd.- Andrew1526

Audio Technica, ATH EW9's
But do you think if I do take the time to put them in and out of the case they will remain in a good condition? How delicate is the wood, do you mean scratches, or like cracks.- Andrew1526

Audio Technica, ATH EW9's
I'm into classic rock and indie rock mostly, but I also like newer age rock like Rooney, and State Radio. The low end can be fixed relatively easily with a headphone amp, like a Fiio E6. I'm looking for something easy to carry mostly.- Andrew1526

Audio Technica, ATH EW9's
I am a bit torn. I recently got a bit of spending cash, and am torn whter or not to buy Audio Technica ATH EW9 clip on wooden backed headphones, or to continue to save up and buy a pair of Sennheiser HD600's. I currently own Audio Technica ATH A700's, but they are too big for using in public. I...- Andrew1526

They are fakes! Sorry mate. And yeah, I've heard that the fakes sound really good, but nowhere near as good as the real thing.- Andrew1526
