recent purchase of  hd 700 and further burning of denon ah-d 7100, my headphone ranking has been somewhat change.   1. sennheiser hd 800 - a bit bright but great sound stage and 3d imaging 2. hifiman he-6 - absolutely amazing sounding headphone but a bit lacking on imaging than hd 800 3...

I don't think Denon ah-d is better than sennheiser hd 800 or hifiman he 6, but clearly better than sennheiser hd650 or Shure srh 1840.

It depends on choosing between open-back or closed-back. For closed headphone i will chose dt 770, For open-back i will chose dt 880 premium 

Not that loud, about the 10 to 20 percent on your laptop volume, you can hear them from closed distance

i am listening for about couple hours..... i understand why some people hated, they sound quite bright (worst than hd 800) but after couple hours, brightness come down a bit. 

i dont think that is possible, its impossible to track those kind of people in China.

 once my girlfriend came over, she says she can hear my music so i  say yes, they do leak a lot. maybe you should look for closed headphone then like denon ah-d 2000 or dt 770. I didnt know you gotta use them for your work.

i never heard of hifi 780 so i have no idea how they sounds like but i have try many different types of headphone and own them (check my inventory) .. dt 990 is not a neutral sounding headphone like great headphone sennehier hd 650 but it is an aggressive sound headphone which gives you  strong...

250 ohm might needs amp something like little dot 1 or fiio, if you don't want amp, go with audiotechnica or skull candy aviator. You will hear a huge improvement from beats. I own all of these headphone
