So glad that this worked for you - I was surprised at the difference I heard comparing WAV files with no tagging, etc. to "cluttered" files. The Z1 can really sound so engaging and musical - it is really special with some headphones. I'm having so much fun using it.

The Masters with the Walnut V2 dap - surprisingly - amazing synergy, really enjoying this pairing maybe more than the Masters with Pono at the moment. (However - when the Masters' balanced cables appear, I'm sure the Masters will be even more awesome.)

This is great advice sososerious. I cut off as many of the fibers as possible, then put the conductors/wires under a match flame briefly (to burn off the coating), then wiped off residue then did the "big ball of solder" technique.
